Engineering Projects Ready to Bid
The complete packages for Engineering Projects can be obtained from our Plan Room. Creating a free personal account will be required for first time Visitors.
Prospective bidders on Engineering Projects must be pre-qualified to submit a bid. Engineering Department is responsible for the pre-qualification process. Contractors wanting to pre-qualify to bid projects as a General Contractor must do so two weeks (ten business days) prior to the bid opening date.

The work for which proposals are invited consists of installation of 8-inch concentrate pipeline, 6-inch backwash pipeline, 3-inch fiber optic conduit and all related appurtenances to begin at the City of Clearwater’s Reverse Osmosis Plant No. 1 to east of the intersection of Drew Street and Old Coachman Road per the project drawings and specifications.
A complete bidders package containing plans, specifications, bond forms, contract form, affidavits and proposal form is available to the general public (Contractors, Sub-contractors, suppliers, vendors, etc.) for review and purchase. However, sealed proposals will only be accepted from those Contractors that are currently City pre-qualified Contractors in the construction category of Water and Force Mains with a minimum pre-qualification amount of $2,000,000.

The work for which proposals are invited consists of demolition of existing primary clarifiers, equipment, electrical and incidentals. The work includes temporary supports, power, coffer dams and bypass pumping to maintain the facility in complete and full operation. Installation of two (2) Salsnes Filters, filter feed pump, relocated sludge pumps, piping, appurtenance and electrical and instrumentation. The work also includes construction of the concrete pads, concrete structures, sitework, utility relocations associated with the design, and all other work necessary for a complete and operational system. Installation of 24” RAS metering assembly, piping, fittings supports, concrete pads and ancillaries as necessary for a complete and operational system. Integration of new filters into plant PLC/SCADA system; modification and/or expansion of existing PLC/SCADA equipment, equipment interconnections and connection routing; and Record Drawings.
