Clearwater Seeks Resident Feedback for Cooper’s Point Master Plan

CLEARWATER, Fla. – The city wants to hear from residents about what potential environmental improvements they’d like to see at Cooper’s Point in Clearwater. A public meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, July 18 from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at Moccasin Lake Environmental Education Center, 2750 Park Trail Lane.

Cooper’s Point is an important environmental priority for the city of Clearwater. It is located on Gulf-to-Bay Boulevard and is nestled between the waters of Cooper’s Bayou and Old Tampa Bay. The creation of a new master plan is under way, and the city wants to hear from Clearwater residents to provide vital feedback on potential program improvements:

  • Water quality improvements
  • Habitat restoration
  • Boardwalks
  • Kayak and nature trails
  • Eagle’s nest viewing area
  • Observation towers and platforms
  • Upland habitat area
  • Trailhead, restrooms and expanded parking
