Clearwater is first in Pinellas County's Duke Energy Network to Convert Streetlights to LED

Description:  The City of Clearwater is the first city in Pinellas County to replace its streetlights with energy saving LED, or light-emitting diode fixtures. The City of Clearwater and Duke Energy will host a ribbon-cutting event Friday, Nov. 21 at 2:30 p.m. to kickoff the beginning of the conversion. The event will be west of Clearwater City Hall, 112 S. Osceola Ave., along the waterfront and near the pedestrian helix of the Memorial Causeway Bridge. The public is invited to attend.

Tampa Bay Times Turkey Trot Kick-off Party

Tampa Bay Times Turkey Trot

Description:  The Times Turkey Trot is the largest running event in the Tampa Bay area. More than 17,000 runners participate. There’s a race for every skill level, including one for competitive runners, one for recreational runners, and one for walkers. Fee includes an event t-shirt. Proceeds benefit local charities.
