September is Library Card Sign Up Month! Sign up for a library card in September and receive a colorful free book bag! Available at all circulation desks. Clearwater Beach, East, Countryside, Main and North Greenwood libraries

Managing Stress, September 9 - 6:00 p.m.
Learn to cope with stress.
Clearwater North Greenwood Branch Library

Community Heroes Day, September 11 - 10:00 a.m.
Meet some of Tampa Bay's real community heroes from the Clty of Clearwater Fire and Police Departments, an arson dog from the Palm Harbor Fire Department, and men in uniform from Special Operations Command at MacDill Air Force Base. All libraries will have materials to make thank you notes to our community heroes.

Safe Driving Course, AARP 55 Alive
AARP 55 Alive presents a two-day safe driving course from 12:30 until 4:30 p.m. on the following dates: September 19 & 20, October 24 & 25, and November 21 & 22.

One Bay, One Book, October 10 - 10:00 a.m.
What if everyone in the county read the same book? That is the goal with the 1990 best selling novel Killing Mr. Watson by Peter Matthiessen. This community wide book discussion will be hosted at several Pinellas Public Library Cooperative libraries in October and culminates with an author appearance at Eckerd College's annual Festival of Reading on November 3.
Matt Moore leads the discussion for the Clearwater Public Library System. Copies of the novel are available at most public libraries.

Youth Author Will Hobbs, October 16 - 6:30 p.m.
Meet the renowned author of The Maze and Down the Yukon. Copies of his books will be available for sale and autographing.
