Circulo de Lectura - 2nd Wednesday, 7 p.m., September 8, October 13, and November 10. Spanish language book discussion group. Select an author to read and the library will provide the books.

Book Lovers Bistro - 2nd Thursday, September 9, October 14, and November 4 (closed November 11), Noon. Meet in Joffrey's Cafe over lunch to discuss a recent or past bestseller!

The Main Thing - beginning October 7, 5-7 p.m. A happy hour for your senses. Jump start your weekend with this new Thursday series featuring live music, poetry readings, delectable treats and more, in Joffrey's Café located in the Main Library's atrium.

The Art of Calligraphy - October 19, 1 pm. Sponsored by the Florida Gulfcoast Society of Scribes.

An Evening with the Authors - November 12, 7-9 p.m. Meet authors, illustrators and artists at this ticketed fund raising event for the Clearwater Main Library Foundation's Capital Campaign, cosponsored by the CCWC and NPWC. A silent auction and book boutique are also scheduled. $15 admission includes gourmet refreshments, coffee, wine and entertainment. For more information, please call 394-2229.

Films on the Bluff: The Best of Art House Cinema - Catch a movie in downtown Clearwater! Enjoy award winning foreign and independent films and documentaries you won't find anywhere else! A different film is shown each month on the second and fourth Tuesdays in the first floor Meeting Room. Popcorn and other refreshments are available in Joffrey's Café, located in the library atrium.

Tutoring Tuesday - 5:30 p.m. with Ivey Reading Academy. Homework and reading help for ages kindergarten through third grade. Presented by Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Nu Beta Omega Chapter.

Chess Club - 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday. All ages and levels are welcome to join the chess club. Instruction and chessboards are provided.

Craft Corner - 2-4 p.m. on Thursday. Drop in after school to create crafts and enjoy a variety of activities. Call the library for special programs!

Fall Fun - September 23, 2 - 4 p.m. Crafts, stories, and a movie to celebrate the first day of Fall.

Read and Recreate Library Book Club - A joint program between the Library and the Parks & Recreation Department. Read 3 age appropriate books and earn a free day pass to the Recreation Center.
