Welcome to the Home Page of the Mayor & City Council!

The City Council is made up of the Mayor, the Vice-Mayor, and three Councilmembers, all of whom are elected at-large and serve three-year terms (the Mayor's position is for 4 years). The responsibility of the City Council is to set policies and make decisions concerning many different aspects of local government -- such as tax rates, annexations, property code variances, and large contract awards. The Council also sets the budget for the city and evaluates the job performance for the City Manager and City Attorney.
