Councilmember Paul F. Gibson (Seat 5)

Paul F. Gibson was elected to the Clearwater City Council in March 2007 and re-elected in March 2010. He has served as the City's representative and board member on the City's Pension Advisory Committee and the Tampa Bay Estuary Program since March 2010. He has also served as the City’s representative and board member of the Pinellas Suncoast Transit Authority ("PSTA") from March 2007 through March 2010.

Mr. Gibson studied finance and accounting at Bentley College in Waltham, Massachusetts, graduating with a Bachelors in Accounting in 1980. He is a REALTOR® with RE/MAX Action First on Clearwater Beach for the past eight (8) years and previously served in financial management capacities with UniSite, Inc., Northwest Airlines, MCI Communications Corporation and Chase Manhattan Bank. He grew up in the Washington, D.C. area and has lived in Connecticut, Maryland, Massachusetts, Minnesota, Missouri, Rhode Island, Texas and Virginia during his corporate career.

Mr. Gibson is a member of the Clearwater Beach Chamber of Commerce and the Clearwater Beach Association. He has three (3) adult daughters, Cindy, Susan and Robin who live in the Washington, D.C. area.
