Neighborhood and Home of the Year - 2006

	Home of the Year 2006 3315 San Gabriel Street Mark Mandus bought his home in the Del Oro Groves subdivision in 2001. Mark painted the exterior of the home from white to bisque. He installed over 50 different types of flowers, bushes, trees and plants. Mark replaced the garage door, added new windows, and recessed lighting around the trim of the home. He has taken a normal house and transformed it into a beautiful addition to the community. The new look caused the previous owner to check the address to be sure he was at the correct house.
	Neighborhood of the Year 2006 Spring Lake The residents of Spring Lake of Clearwater, Inc., located north of Union Street and east of Keene Road, take pride in maintaining their unique and diverse community. Spring Lake of Clearwater, Inc. Neighborhood Association hosts social activities, publishes a neighborhood newsletter, maintains a neighborhood web site, has a landscape improvement team, and participates in the city’s annual community block party. The neighborhood celebrates different events for the children such as Christmas, Easter, and Halloween events throughout the year.
