Building Requirements
Minimum Plan Requirements
Low-Rise Building (3 or more stories,
but less than 75')
- Fire sprinkler system required
- Fire alarm system required
- Automatic wet standpipe w/ fire pump providing 100 psi at roof
High-Rise Building (75' or taller):
- Fire sprinkler system required
- Fire alarm system required
- Automatic wet standpipe w/ fire pump providing 100 psi at roof
- High-Rise Package:
- Pressurized stair towers
- Fire command and control room 1st floor with all equipment reporting
to control room
- Firefighter phone jacks on all floors reporting back to control
room
- Back-up Generator to power all emergency systems
Parking Garages
- Shall meet NFPA 88A, all requirements.
Assembly Occupancies (300 or
more persons)
- Requires fire sprinkler system
- Requires voice evacuation fire alarm system
- Seating arrangement
Plans - General
- Provide interior finish schedules
- Provide door schedules
- Provide window schedules
- Provide hydraulic calculations for sprinkler systems and cut sheets
