Arts & Culture - Clearwater ChorusAbout the Chorus
The group sang for the inaugural opening of the nationally acclaimed Ruth Eckerd Hall in 1983 and has performed there every year since. The Chorus also toured Europe in 1982 and again in 1997. The Chorus has performed with the Canadian Brass, Dave Brubeck, the Florida Orchestra, and sang backup for Broadway star Linda Eder. For most of the history of the Chorus, Arthur Goetze served as Director. His leadership molded this group into a well-respected community organization. In 2005, the Chorus became the resident adult chorus of the Marcia P. Hoffman Performing Arts Institute. MissionTo provide a friendly community environment where quality performers share a common goal to strive for musical excellence, where audience members are entertained and uplifted, and to perpetuate the love of choral music by developing future audiences and performers alike. About Joining the Chorus Rehearsals take place on Tuesday evenings from 7:30 – 9:30 pm at Ruth
