Softball

Softball is a game of infinite possibilities.
The game situation is constantly changing, requiring players,
coaches, and observers to be mentally alert. The game of softball
can increase knowledge and strategic abilities. As with other
team sports, softball teaches the value of teamwork and respect
for others. It is also an excellent way to exercise and socialize.
The City of Clearwater offers a variety of competitive and
recreational leagues for youth and adults. |

Recreational Softball Leagues
Softball
Standings
Our softball program is the largest and most popular of any adult
programs offered in Pinellas County. All of the leagues are offered
on a first pay, first play plan. So any new teams who pay the entry
fee have the same chance of playing as current teams in our leagues.
We offer Men's, Women's, and Coed Leagues. Men's leagues are Sunday
through Friday, Women play on Wednesday night, and Coed is Thursday,
Friday's and Sunday's.
Each year approximately 8500 participants ranging in ages of 16
to 80. We have several innovations that are unique to the Clearwater
program that include the Athletic-Grams that give manager's a written
document for game changes or re-scheduled games along with posting
up-to-date standings weekly.
The City offers adult softball for ages 16 and up run throughout
the year. All levels of slow pitch play from, competitive to recreational,
are offered for men, women and co-ed leagues. Call Bill Lueders
at 669-1361, ext. 240 or James Lightfoot at 669-1361, ext. 233
