 A green economy fosters businesses that help in some way to protect, restore, and enhance our natural environment. By encouraging green businesses, Clearwater can thrive and prosper while achieving goals such as generating less waste and pollution, saving energy, restoring green spaces, and conserving water. Some green businesses might be startup companies that develop renewable energy or alternative fuels; grow organic local produce; or make products from recycled materials. Others could be traditional companies that change their practices to be more in tune with nature, such as builders who learn to use energy efficient, environmentally sustainable materials.
