Clearwater Marine Aquarium Lobby
Image of the C.M.A. lobby The Clearwater Marine Aquarium is dedicated to marine animal rescue, rehabilitation and release. The aquarium is also committed to providing environmental education for the public. A non-profit organization, the aquarium is funded through guest admissions, private events, fundraisers, summer camp programs, grants, gift shop sales and donations.

The Newly-Refurbished Shark Tank

The Clearwater Marine Aquarium has recently undergone a $600,000 face-lift. The upgrades include underwater viewing windows, a large fish and shark tank, improved stingray touch tank and a mini I-max theatre..


Winter is Doing Well
Image of Winter the dolphin Winter, an Atlantic Bottlenose dolphin, is in good health after being caught in a crab trap as a baby. Although she wasn't expected to live after losing part of her tail, she is now learning to swim normally with a prosthetic tail.

Winter in Bronze
Image of Winter's Dream statue California artist Donjo created a life size statue of Winter named "Winters Dream". The statue is made of solid bronze and stands in the lobby of the aquarium.

Mini I-Max Theater
Image of mini I-Max Theater The new 125-seat movie theater will show movies of the aquarium's behind the scenes work. Visitors will be able to view rescue, rehabilitation and release of dolphins, sea turtles and river otters..

My Clearwater is produced by the Public Communications Department along with contributions from Development & Neighborhood Services, Economic Development & Housing, the Main Library, Marine & Aviation, Parks & Recreation, and Solid Waste/Recycling.
