The class met at the Public Services Complex where Jim Geary, Director of Customer Service, addressed the group. Andy Neff, Director of Public Works/Public Utilities, and City Engineer Mike Quillen also spoke about their responsibilities. The group visited the Sign Shop with Signal Systems Engineer Glenn Weaver, and Public Services Director Gary Johnson explained the uses for some of the heavy machinery that is housed at the complex. Gary and Mike also discussed their areas of responsibility as well as many of the capital improvement projects that are in progress throughout the city. This was the last session of the Citizen's Academy Charter Class. Graduation is scheduled for Thursday, November 21, at 6pm in the Council Chambers, third floor of City Hall.
