Stormwater ManagementThe Stormwater Management department provides for the development and construction of City drainage facilities in order to alleviate flooding of existing buildings and to protect future development against potential flood damage. In carrying out these responsibilities we respond daily to many inquiries from commercial developers and the public. We are responsible for project management, engineering design and preparation of construction plans for Capital Improvement Projects relating to stormwater management, the Storm pipe Repair and Replacement Program, and site plan compliance review. In addition to engineering related services, this program is also responsible for the maintenance and repair of the City's 120 miles of storm sewer mains, ditches, storm manholes, inlets, underdrains, and all other drainage structures.
