Traffic CalmingThe Traffic Calming Section is led by Mr. Ken Sides and deals with the design and installation of formal traffic calming devices. These include but are not limited to speed tables, chicanes, roundabouts and landscaping to achieve traffic calming effects in neighborhoods. This process is accomplished through a "charrette" (workshop) medium at which the residents of the neighborhoods are invited to provide input. For further information please call (727) 562-4750 and ask for Mr. Ken Sides. Skycrest Traffic Calming ProjectAt the request of many Skycrest area homeowners, traffic calming will soon bring a reduction in speeding to the Skycrest area. City staff and construction professionals will discuss project details with interested residents at the next Skycrest Neighbors association meeting. The meeting will be held Tuesday, Sept. 30 at 7 p.m., Trinity Presbyterian Church, which is located at 2001 Rainbow Drive. The meeting will be held in Fellowship Hall.
