Clearwater Celebrates America
Each year, the City of Clearwater hosts Clearwater Celebrates America on the 4th of July to celebrate Independence Day. It's a free, family-friendly event and includes a free Kids Zone area, a mascot parade and musical entertainment.

The event takes place at Coachman Park, 301 Drew Street

The fireworks display can be viewed on Clearwater Beach, and participants may enjoy the event from there.

This year's itinerary is as follows:

5 - 9 PM Stars & Squirts Kid's Zone Spark the Sky Fireworks Display
7:30 PM Mostly Pops Orchestra: The Wilsons
9:30 PM Spark the Sky Fireworks Display

For the Bright House Clearwater Celebrates America event only, coolers are allowed. Coolers will be inspected for glass and outside alcoholic beverages which are not permitted.

Please remember no alcoholic beverages, glass containers or bottles, canopies, pets or personal fireworks are allowed at Coachman Park for this event.

Blast off your Fourth of July celebration with the City of Clearwater at Bright House Networks Clearwater Celebrates America at Coachman Park for a FREE Family celebration, along with a concert featuring the Mostly Pops Orchestra and the Wilsons. The night will be topped off with the largest fireworks display in the Tampa Bay area. Food and Beverage Vendors and Exhibitors will be on hand to cover all of your Fourth of July needs.

Gates open at 4 p.m. and music will begin at 7:30 p.m. Children’s activities featuring Radio Disney will run 5-9 p.m. and will include games, face painting, a mascot parade, and more! The night will end with Clearwater Gas ‘Spark the Sky’ fireworks show starting at 9:30 p.m.

Coachman Park is located on the waterfront in downtown Clearwater and is accessible from Drew Street or via Cleveland Street (State Road 60).

  • Take SR 60 to Clearwater
  • Follow SR 60/Gulf to Bay Boulevard through downtown Clearwater
  • Make a right at Osceola Avenue
  • The venue is on the left
  • Take US Highway 19 to SR 60
  • Head West on SR 60
  • Follow SR 60/Gulf to Bay Boulevard through downtown Clearwater
  • Make a right at Osceola Avenue
  • The venue is on the left
Ample public parking is available nearby Downtown meters are free on federal holidays. For more information on public parking locations, please refer to the City of Clearwater's Downtown Parking Facilities Map. Downtown parking meters are not enforced after 6 p.m. on Fridays and all day Saturdays and Sundays.

Dos and Don'ts at Coachman Park:

The following items and practices are not permitted at the events:
  • NO pets, except assistance animals
  • NO grills or open flames of any kind
  • NO glass containers or bottles
  • NO unauthorized vendors
  • NO tents, canopies or umbrellas
  • NO audio/video recording devices
  • NO throwing objects such as footballs, Frisbees, etc.
  • NO in-line skating, skateboarding
  • NO littering
  • NO personal fireworks
DO bring:
  • Lawn Chairs and Blankets
