Tampa Bay Times Turkey Trot Kick-off Party

This is the last opportunity to pre-register and pick up t-shirts before race day. Live music and food will help kick off this annual event. Official merchandise will be for sale. Free.
Tampa Bay Times Turkey Trot
Thursday, November 27
Clearwater High School Stadium, 540 S. Hercules Ave. • 7 a.m.
The Tampa Bay Times Turkey Trot is the largest running event in the Tampa Bay area. More than 17,000 runners participate. There’s a race for every skill level, including one for competitive runners, one for recreational runners, and one for walkers. Fee includes an event t-shirt. Top finisher for the competitive races will receive a trophy. Proceeds benefit local charities. Canned goods and non-perishable food will be collected in the stadium on race day and will be donated to the food pantry at Religious Community Services Inc.
2014 Memorial Holiday Boat Parade
Saturday, December 13th
Coachman Park, 301 Drew St. • 6:30 p.m.
The decorated boats will assemble in Mandalay Channel located between Island Estates and Clearwater Beach at 6:00 p.m. At 6:30 p.m., the lead boat will proceed northward through Mandalay Channel. Then the parade will weave in and out of many of the Island Estate canals before heading over to Coachman Park around 8:00 p.m. From there the boats will go under the new Memorial Causeway Bridge turning into the Clearwater Marina Channel before navigating to the Clearwater Yacht Club. Cash and gift certificate prizes, donated by many area businesses, will be awarded to the best decorated boats. There is no parade entry fee. Outback Bowl Beach Day

Hilton Clearwater Beach, 400 Mandalay Ave. • 11 a.m. – 4 p.m.
Join the teams, their marching bands and cheerleaders as they enjoy the sun and beaches at the Hilton Clearwater Beach next to Pier 60. This fun day includes live music, skydivers, a tug-of-war and other contests from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
After Beach Day stick around for Sunsets at Pier 60 featuring artisans, music and more while you watch the sunset on the Gulf of Mexico.
