September 2014

Bright House 2014 Clearwater Super Boat National Championship & Seafood Festival

Friday, September 26 – Sunday, September 28
Cleveland Street, Coachman Park, and Clearwater Beach
This offshore powerboat race will feature some of the fastest powerboats in the world competing for the title of National Champion. The boats will race from Pier 60 north for about a half mile and back, doing laps around the loop. The race, which is free and open to the public, will take place on October 5.

October 2014

MAXIMA Hispanic Heritage Concert

Sunday, October 12
Coachman Park, 301 Drew St.
This festival will feature performances by international recording artists. There will be food & drink concessions, exhibitors and more. Coolers, food, drink, pets, fireworks, tents, and canopies are not permitted. Admission TBD.

Clearwater Jazz Holiday

Thursday, October 16 – Sunday, October 19
Coachman Park, 301 Drew St.
The Clearwater Jazz Holiday features national and local performing acts. There will be food and drink concessions, exhibitors and Clearwater Jazz Holiday merchandise on sale. Coolers, food, drinks, pets, fireworks, tents, and canopies are not permitted.

Boo Bash

This free event is a safe community Halloween celebration, featuring many interactive areas for kids, including games, hayrides, a costume parade on the field, and plenty of candy.

The GFWC North Pinellas Women’s Club presents the 38th annual Christmas Under the Oaks Arts & Crafts Show at beautiful, waterfront Coachman Park in Downtown Clearwater. Show proceeds benefit community scholarships, grants, and projects.

30th Anniversary Festival of Trees, Tampa Bay "Candyland Christmas"

Friday, November 21 – Sunday, November 23

Festival of Trees, presented by AmeriLife®, has become renowned in the Tampa Bay area as a holiday festival in a family-centered fantasyland, and a signature event supporting UPARC. Discover over 125 exquisitely decorated Christmas trees, hundreds of wreaths and countless decorations created by local artists, businesses and community leaders, all perfect for holiday giving or keeping! Enjoy holiday music and songs, live entertainment and visits with Santa while strolling around the Candyland streets. Get creative in  Santa’s Children’s Village where little ones can create holiday crafts and special memories to take home.

Tampa Bay Times Turkey Trot Kick-off Party

Wednesday, November 26
Clearwater High School Stadium, 540 S. Hercules Ave. • 5–7:30 p.m.
This is the last opportunity to pre-register and pick up t-shirts before race day. Live music and food will help kick off this annual event. Official merchandise will be for sale. Free.

Tampa Bay Times Turkey Trot

Thursday, November 27
Clearwater High School Stadium, 540 S. Hercules Ave. • 7 a.m.
The Tampa Bay Times Turkey Trot is the largest running event in the Tampa Bay area. More than 17,000 runners participate. There’s a race for every skill level, including one for competitive runners, one for recreational runners, and one for walkers. Fee includes an event t-shirt. Top finisher for the competitive races will receive a trophy. Proceeds benefit local charities. Canned goods and non-perishable food will be collected in the stadium on race day and will be donated to the food pantry at Religious Community Services Inc.

December 2014

Outback Bowl Beach Day

Tuesday, December 30
Hilton Clearwater Beach, 400 Mandalay Ave. • 11 a.m. – 4 p.m.
Join the teams, their marching bands and cheerleaders as they enjoy the sun and beaches at the Hilton Clearwater Beach next to Pier 60. This fun day includes live music, skydivers, a tug-of-war and other contests from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

After Beach Day stick around for Sunsets at Pier 60 featuring artisans, music and more while you watch the sunset on the Gulf of Mexico.
