The City of Clearwater is the first city in Pinellas County to replace its streetlights with energy saving LED, or light-emitting diode fixtures. The City of Clearwater and Duke Energy will host a ribbon-cutting event Friday, Nov. 21 at 2:30 p.m. to kickoff the beginning of the conversion. The event will be west of Clearwater City Hall, 112 S. Osceola Ave., along the waterfront and near the pedestrian helix of the Memorial Causeway Bridge. The public is invited to attend. more
