11/28/2016 - Water Main Break on Gulf to Bay Boulevard in Clearwater

A water main break has occurred along Gulf to Bay Boulevard in the vicinity of Orion Avenue, just east of Keene Road. Crews from the city of Clearwater’s Public Utilities Department currently are on-site shutting down the line for repair. A contractor working in the area accidently struck and damaged the water main. more

Turkey Trot 2016 on Thanksgiving Day will bring in thousands of runners and walkers to Clearwater.
Be patient. It will also cause road closures and traffic delays on Thursday, Nov. 24.

11/21/2016 - Taste of Downtown Clearwater Celebrates Downtown’s International Cuisine

The inaugural Taste of Downtown Clearwater will be held Nov. 26 to celebrate the international cuisine located in Downtown Clearwater. The Taste of Downtown Clearwater will be held from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 26 along the waterfront near the Memorial Causeway Bridge and behind Clearwater City Hall, 112 S. Osceola Ave. The cost is $10 for five tastes.

The city of Clearwater is holding the third and final round of community workshops to present and discuss the Imagine Clearwater master plan, which will establish a framework for the future of the downtown Clearwater waterfront area. The community workshops will be held 6:30 p.m. November 29 at the Countryside Library, 2642 Sabal Springs Dr., and 6:30 p.m. November 30 at the Downtown Clearwater Main Library, 100 N. Osceola Ave.

The city of Clearwater along with the Southwest Florida Management District and partners will host a public information open house about the Clearwater Groundwater Replenishment Project on Tuesday, Nov. 15, 2016. Groundwater replenishment is a two-step process that includes purifying reclaimed water to better-than-drinking water standards and recharging the aquifer using that purified water. more
