Clearwater Police Seek Suspect With Bucket In Bank Robbery
(Bank surveillance images attached and to follow in subsequent emails)
Clearwater Police are looking for the robber who held up a bank on South Fort Harrison Avenue this morning.
The suspect entered First United Bank about 9:20 a.m., implying that he had a bomb and that a second person across the street had a detonator if any employee set off an alarm.
He placed the money in the bucket and fled the area in an older-model forest green SUV or minivan. The vehicle likely is missing the left front hubcap and might have silver trim around the bottom.
He is described as a white male, about 40 years old, about 5 feet 10 inches tall, and weighs about 200 pounds. He wore sunglasses, an industrial face mask, a gray hooded sweatshirt and khaki pants.
Anyone with information on this case should call Clearwater Police at 562-4242 or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
