Human Trafficking Workshop: Learn to Recognize the Signs

LEARN TO RECOGNIZE HUMAN TRAFFICKING; IT COULD BE HAPPENING RIGHT NEXT DOOR!

Approximately 18,000 to 50,000 people are trafficked into the United States each year. Victims are smuggled into this country for the purposes of forced labor, domestic servitude or commercial sex operations. Florida is one of the top destinations in the country for human trafficking. It can happen anywhere even right next door to you!

Don't miss this Human Trafficking seminar persented by the Clearwater Police Department and Clearwater/Tampa Bay Area Task Force on Human Trafficking. Citizens will learn:

o How human trafficking operates

o What signs to look for

o How to identify possible victims

o How to report a suspected case

This is a FREE presentation and is open to the public. It is Tuesday, April 28, 2009 from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at the Murray Theater @ Ruth Eckerd Hall (east entrance) on 1111 McMullen Booth Road
