Stabbing Victim Released From Hospital

The victim of this afternoon's stabbing incident at Turnbury Apartments was treated and later released from Bayfront Health St. Petersburg.
The victim came home about 4 p.m. and opened the apartment door to find a Hispanic male looking in a closet. The startled suspect turned around and stabbed the victim with a knife taken from his apartment.
The knife had been used to cut the wires to electronics and was left behind at the scene. The victim's property had been stacked by the front door, but the suspects left without it after the stabbing.
The investigation continues.

Clearwater Police Investigate Stabbing
Clearwater Police are on the scene of a stabbing that occurred after a resident came home to find two burglary suspects inside his apartment.
The resident was stabbed after he confronted the two at Turnbury Apartments, 25350 U.S. 19 N. The victim was taken by helicopter to Bayfront Health St.
Petersburg after the 4 p.m. incident.
His injuries are not thought to be life-threatening.
Police are actively searching for two suspects who ran from the scene after the stabbing.
