Clearwater Police Arrest 5, Seize Tens Of Thousands Of Dollars Worth Of Drugs
(Mug shots of suspects attached at end of release)
Clearwater Police arrested five men Thursday evening after a search warrant was served at a house on LaSalle Street.
Police also seized drugs worth more than $70,000 from the house, located at
1144 LaSalle St., in addition to three guns.
"As long as there are those who think it is OK to sell and use drugs in the city of Clearwater, we will continue these operations," said Police Chief Tony Holloway. "We are tired of drug dealers doing their business in our neighborhoods."
The five suspects arrested Thursday are no strangers to law enforcement. They have totaled 29 arrests in Pinellas County over the last few years.
"If they keep doing what they are doing, selling drugs and affecting the quality of life in our neighborhoods," Holloway said, "then we will keep doing what we are doing - putting them in jail."
Here's a look at the drugs seized from the execution of the search warrant:
273 grams of crack cocaine with an approximate street value of $27,300
101 grams of powder cocaine with an approximate street value of $5,000
4,046 grams of mid- and high-grade hydroponic marijuana with an approximate street value of $40,000
Here is a list of those who were arrested and taken to the Pinellas County Jail.
