New Parking Available for Spring Breakers Who Visit Clearwater Beach

Clearwater, Fla. – Spring break starts March 6 and goes through April 18. According to city estimates, there are approximately 5,000 visitors a day during the Spring Break season.

Peak periods for parking at Clearwater Beach occur during Pinellas County School’s spring break, March 27 to April 4, which coincides with Easter weekend this year, all contributing to heavy traffic and parking conditions.

There are 400 new public parking spaces available 24 hours a day to residents and visitors at the Hyatt Aqualea garage, 301 S. Gulfview Blvd. The garage entrance/exit is located on the Coronado Drive side of the hotel property. Self-park rates vary from $2.25 to $2.75 per hour depending on the day and season (maximum: $14 to $16 daily). Valet rates are also available at $18 per day and $20 overnight. Call “Seven One Seven Parking” at (800) 310-7275 with questions.

In addition to the nearly 2,600 metered parking spaces on Clearwater Beach and Sand Key Park, the City has leased 400 temporary parking spaces in three lots, the majority of which are south of the roundabout.
