Upcoming March Clearwater Aging Well Center Programs

CLEARWATER, Fla. – The Aging Well Center, located in the Long Center at 1501 N. Belcher Road, will host a variety of upcoming programs. For more information or to pre-register, call (727) 724-3070.

Highlights include:

Mindful Walking
Monday, March 5-April 9, 10-11 a.m.
Michael Marshall guides the group during this unique six-week experience in hopes of reducing stress and enjoying nature. Space is limited. Free.

Windows 10 Shortcuts
Tuesday, March 6, 10:30-noon
Marvin Maziarz will teach shortcuts that you would usually do using a mouse. Especially handy for those with a touchpad on their laptop. Pre-registration requested. Space is limited. Free.

Unconquered Florida Seminoles
Tuesday, March 6, 3-4 p.m.
The Seminoles migrated into Florida in the early 1700s, where they prospered for more than a century. By the mid-1800s, the U.S. had waged three costly wars against them, forcing the Seminoles into exile. A small number refused to leave, hiding in the Everglades. Learn how they survived and succeeded in the world today. Pre-registration preferred. Free.

Healthy Aging Video Series
Thursday, March 8, 2-3 p.m.
Watch “The Science of Cells that Never Gets Old” by Nobel Prize winner Elizabeth Blackburn. Discussion afterward led by Sheryl Crutchfield Graham. Free.

Holocaust Museum
Tuesday, March 13, 11 a.m.-noon
Sandy Mermelstein, Florida Holocaust Museum senior educator, is the daughter of Holocaust survivors and will be presenting about her parents and other survivors’ experiences. Free.

St. Patrick’s Day Social
Thursday, March 15, 2 to 3:30 p.m.
Enjoy a special performance by the Tampa Bay Highland Dancers, games, refreshments and an opportunity to make new friends. Pre-registration requested. Free.
