Clearwater Employee Art Exhibit Takes Over Second Century Studios
Second Century Studios in Downtown Clearwater announces the opening of a new exhibit entitled Art: After Hours and featuring the artistic work of Clearwater city employees.
The art exhibit opening will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday, June 15 at Second Century Studios, 331 Cleveland St., in Downtown Clearwater. The artists will be on hand at the exhibit’s opening. Exhibition times will vary throughout the month and a full list of events can be found at DowntownClearwater.com.
The exhibit includes original artwork from talented city of Clearwater employees in a range of mediums that includes acrylic paintings, oil paintings, photography, custom handmade knives, leather sheaths and mixed media. A video introducing all the artists, their artwork and their inspirations will be featured at the exhibit’s opening, along with the presentation of the Mayor’s Choice Award and the City Manager’s Choice Award presented to two artists.
“Celebrating art at Second Century Studios is what Downtown Clearwater is all about,” said Amanda Thompson, the city of Clearwater’s Community Redevelopment Agency director. “That this exhibit features original artwork created by city of Clearwater employees is a bonus.”
