City Offices to Close for Thanksgiving Holiday

CLEARWATER, Fla. -- City of Clearwater offices, recreation centers and libraries will be closed for Thanksgiving on Thursday, Nov. 22, and Friday, Nov. 23.

The Solid Waste Department will be closed on Thursday, Nov. 22 only. There will be no residential black barrel, bulk trash, recycling or commercial collections on Thursday. Thursday’s residential garbage, recycling and yard/bulk collections will be made on Wednesday, Nov. 21. Commercial collections that usually occur on Thursday will be collected on Friday, Nov. 23. Friday's residential collections on Nov. 23 will be made as usual.

The Clearwater Beach Marina Fuel Dock will be closed on Thursday, Nov. 22 but open on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. The Clearwater Harbor Marina and Seminole Launch Ramp will be open Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday. The Clearwater Community Sailing Center and Pier 60 will be closed Thursday, Nov. 22, but open on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

The Clearwater Airpark front desk and building will be open Thursday, Nov. 22, from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. and open regular hours on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

All branches of the Clearwater Public Library System will close at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 21.
The Henry L. McMullen Tennis Complex will be open Friday, Nov. 23 from 8 a.m. to noon. On Saturday and Sunday, Nov. 24 and 25, Clearwater libraries and recreation centers will be open as normally scheduled.

For gas leaks, water line breaks, or other non-police/fire emergencies, call the city's 24-hour emergency dispatch line at 727-462.6633.

On Monday, Nov. 26, all Clearwater facilities and offices will resume normal hours of operation.
