May Clearwater Aging Well Center Programs 

CLEARWATER, Fla. – The Aging Well Center, located in the Long Center at 1501 N. Belcher Road, will host a variety of upcoming programs throughout the month of May. For more information or to pre-register, call the Aging Well Center at (727) 724-3070.  

Highlights include: 

Acrylic Painting with Free Instruction
Wednesday, May 1, 10:30-noon
Artist Shawn Dell Joyce teaches attendees how to paint a sunset scene on canvas. Join us for this fun and easy class even if you never painted before. Use acrylic on canvas with sponges and large brushes. Class instruction is free. $10 (cash) materials fee paid to the instructor. Space is limited.

Your Decisions, Your Wishes: Living Wills and Health Care Surrogates
Thursday, May 9, 2-3:30 p.m.
Make sure your family knows your goals and values for future health care needs. Learn how to discuss them with your doctor and those who are close to you and document them in a living will. Tracy Christner from Empath Health will present. Free.

Beaded Bracelets with Free Instruction
Monday, May 13, 1-2:30 p.m.
Susan Sudnik will instruct students on how to make unique bracelets with leather, bead and memory wire. Class instruction is free. $15 (cash) materials fee paid to the instructor. Space is limited.

Free Beginners Line Dancing
Monday, May 6, 13, 20, 11:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m.
Margaret Howard will teach attendees the steps to keep them moving while having a great time. Non-slip shoes required. Space is limited. Free. 

Facebook For Beginners
Tue., May 7, 10-11:30 p.m.
Michael Marshall will instruct users on how to create a Facebook account, add profile data, navigate through Facebook Live and begin to explore security. Bring mobile devices and passwords. Space is limited. Free.

Travelogue Antarctica
Tue., May 14, 2-3 p.m.
Join world traveler, Judith Overcash, for a romp through amazing penguin colonies, seal and walrus habitats, fantastic icebergs and the southern tip of South America as we explore the magic of an Antarctic Christmas adventure. Free.
