October Clearwater Aging Well Center Programs 

CLEARWATER, Fla. – The Aging Well Center, located in the Long Center at 1501 N. Belcher Road, will host a variety of upcoming programs throughout the month of October. For more information or to register, call the Aging Well Center at (727) 724-3070.  

Highlights include: 

Haunted Ghost Stories of Florida
Thursday, Oct. 3, 2-3 p.m.
Ross Tarr, professional storyteller, historian and author, will tell engaging ghost stories, which illuminate the hauntings of different Florida attractions. Free.

Reiki Share
Monday, Oct. 7, 3-4:30 p.m.
Reiki Master Joye Swisher facilitates this session sharing the simple technique that allows the student to tap into an unlimited supply of "life force energy," improve health and enhance quality of life. Free.

Acrylic Painting
Wednesday, Oct. 9, 2-4 p.m.
Artist Shawn Dell Joyce will take attendees step-by-step through creating a painting of a colorful festive tree. Join us for this fun and easy class, even if you’ve never painted before. Acrylic on canvas with palette knifes will be used. $10 (cash) materials fee is paid to the instructor. Space is limited.

Memory Fit Program
Wednesday, Oct. 16, 23, 30, Nov. 6, 13, 2-4 p.m.
Learn practical techniques for enhancing memory ability. Memory Fit provides an innovative educational program for people with age-related memory concerns. This two-hour class meets once a week for five weeks. Participants must be able to attend all five classes. Fee is $25. To register, call BayCare at (855) 269-4777.
