October Clearwater Aging Well Center Programs 

CLEARWATER, Fla. – The Aging Well Center, located in the Long Center at 1501 N. Belcher Road, will host a variety of upcoming programs throughout the month of October. For more information or to register, call the Aging Well Center at (727) 724-3070.  

Highlights include: 

Earring Pendant Craft
Monday, Oct. 21, 1-2:30 p.m.
Susan Sudnik will instruct students on how to create earring pendants. Class instruction is free. $15 (cash) materials fee will be paid to the instructor. Space is limited.

Happiness Science: From Languishing to Flourishing
Monday, Oct. 21, 2-3 p.m.
Sheryl Graham discusses 11 research-based tools for increasing well being, with practical suggestions for implementing them in your life. Free.

Honeymoon Island
Tuesday, Oct. 22, 2-3 p.m.
One of Florida’s best-loved state parks, Honeymoon Island has more than four miles of beach to explore along with a three-mile trail through one of the last remaining virgin slash pine forests. Explore the island’s history and how it received its name. Staff from the Dunedin History Museum will present. Free.

Brain Health: Dr. Amen’s Memory Rescue
Thursday, Oct. 24, 2-3 p.m.
Sheryl Graham, M.S., will outline Dr. Amen’s Bright Minds memory formula for becoming a “brain warrior.” Free.

Skeletons in the Family Closet: Dealing with the Unexpected
Monday, Oct. 28, 2-3 p.m.
We all find scandals, scalawags and other surprises in the course of our genealogical research. Karen Fortin’s presentation will explore some of the unexpected, and sometimes unsavory, facts that may arise and ethical considerations to keep in mind when deciding how to share them. Free.

Intro to Windows 10
Thursday, Oct. 31, 10:30 a.m.-noon.
Bring your computer and join Marvin Maziarz in learning how to use the latest version of Windows 10 through participation and demonstration. Even if you are a minimal user of the computer, this session will show you all the features you may not be aware of in Windows 10. Class is limited to 10 participants. Free.
