City Offices to Close for Thanksgiving Holiday

Happy ThanksgivingCLEARWATER, Fla. -- City of Clearwater offices, recreation centers and libraries will be closed for Thanksgiving on Thursday, Nov. 28, and Friday, Nov. 29.

The Solid Waste Department will be closed on Thursday, Nov. 28 only. There will be no residential black barrel, bulk trash, recycling or commercial collections that day. Thursday collections will be made on Wednesday, Nov. 27 for both residential service and commercial garbage service. Thursday’s commercial cardboard collection will be picked up on Friday, Nov. 29.

The Clearwater Beach Marina Fuel Dock will be closed on Thursday, Nov. 28 but open on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. The Clearwater Harbor Marina will be open Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday, but will be absent a Dockmaster on Thursday, Nov. 28.  The Clearwater Community Sailing Center and Pier 60 will be closed Thursday, Nov. 28, but open on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

The Clearwater Airpark front desk and building will be open Thursday, Nov. 28, from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. and open regular hours on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

On Wednesday, Nov. 27 the Main Library, Countryside Library and North Greenwood library will close at 2 p.m. The East Library at SPC will be open 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The Beach Library will be closed.  All library branches will be closed on Thursday, Nov. 28 and Friday, Nov. 29.

For gas leaks, water line breaks, or other non-police/fire emergencies, call the city's 24-hour emergency dispatch line at 727-462.6633.

On Monday, Dec. 2, all Clearwater facilities and offices will resume normal hours of operation.
