Tree Lighting Ceremony to Kick Off Clearwater’s Month of Holiday Extravaganza Events

Play in real snow, listen to live music, meet Santa and his friends and much more at Clearwater’s tree lighting ceremony   

CLEARWATER, Fla. — The city of Clearwater’s Holiday Extravaganza begins next week in Downtown Clearwater beginning Nov. 30 with a tree lighting ceremony, followed by a lineup of festive events throughout December.  

Join Mayor Frank Hibbard, other dignitaries, and Santa with all his holiday friends from 6 to 8:30 p.m. for the lighting of the city’s tree at Station Square Park, 612 Cleveland St., featuring live snow to play in, music, food and fun.

Throughout the month of December, Downtown Clearwater will be transformed during Holiday Extravaganza with bright lights, festive decorations, artistic window displays, and spirited activities.

Downtown Clearwater Holiday Stroll

Nightly all December long

‘Tis the season to bring families together for a holiday stroll of lights through Downtown Clearwater. On select evenings enjoy free pop-up performances in Station Square Park, on Dec. 14 at 6 and 6:30 p.m., and Dec. 15 at 6:30 p.m.

Miracle on Cleveland Street - Presented by Ruth Eckerd Hall
Sunday, Dec. 4, 2 - 7 p.m.

The beloved annual tradition returns transforming Cleveland Street into a family-friendly street festival with live entertainment and activities. Plus, it wouldn’t be a true holiday miracle without Santa.

Holiday Spirit of Lights Festival
Friday, Dec. 9, 6 p.m. - 10 p.m.

Stroll our holiday lights and experience an extra special night of festivities including glow in the dark putt-putt, train rides, bounce houses, face painting, and holiday picture opportunities. Enjoy carolers, live music, stilt walkers, The Grinch, Elsa, Ana, Olaf, reindeers, and Santa.

The Market Marie on Cleveland Street
Saturday, Dec. 10, 10 a.m. - 2 p.m.

Outdoor farmers and artisan market featuring unique mix of more than 100 local vendors and an extra touch of holiday flare with a special visit from Santa.

Home for the Holidays Paws-on-Parade - Benefiting the Humane Society of Pinellas
Saturday, Dec. 17, 11 a.m. - 2:00 p.m.

Bring your furry loved ones to wag, woof and celebrate during our 2nd Annual holiday pet parade. Dress in your holiday finest for pet and family photos with Santa. See who will win best dressed pet, enjoy treats, visit with local rescue groups, adopt a pet, shop at the pet vendor market and more.
