The city of Clearwater's Economic Development Strategic Plan serves as a blueprint to position Clearwater for sustainable growth and economic prosperity. Attracting a younger mix of professionals in higher wage occupations and industries and facilitating projects/sites that expand the City’s office and industrial tax base is essential to ensure long-term economic vitality.
Based on the guiding principles of tax base diversification, high paying jobs and business vitality, the plan is organized around five goals to encourage new investment, jobs and redevelopment projects.
