Invitation to Bid
The City of Clearwater Purchasing Division is responsible for centralized procurement of goods and services in excess of $2,500 for all City of Clearwater Departments except specific Engineering construction contracts. This includes all aspects of the purchase from the receipt of a department requisition to issuance of purchase order or contract. Please read the information on Doing Business with the City of Clearwater page.
Prospective bidders on Engineering Projects must be pre-qualified to submit a formal bid for construction work within the City of Clearwater. The Engineering Department is responsible for the pre-qualification process. Contractors wanting to pre-qualify to bid on projects - as a General Contractor - must do so two weeks (ten business days) prior to the bid opening date. It is the Contractor’s responsibility to confirm pre-qualification eligibility before a bid opening.
