Interested parties may appear and be heard at the hearing or file written notice of approval or objection with the Planning & Development Director or City Clerk prior to the hearing.  Any person who decides to appeal any decision made by the Board or Council, with respect to any matter considered at such hearings, will need a record of the proceedings and, for such purpose, may need to ensure that a verbatim record of the proceedings is made, which record includes the testimony and evidence upon which the appeal is to be based per Florida Statute 286.0105.  Community Development Code Section 4-206 states that party status shall be granted by the Board if person requesting such demonstrates that s/he is substantially affected.  Party status entitles parties to: personally testify, present evidence, argument and witnesses, cross examine witnesses, appeal the decision and speak on reconsideration requests.

An oath will be administered swearing in all participants in public hearing cases.  If you wish to speak at the meeting, please wait to be recognized, then state and spell your name and provide your address.  Persons speaking before the Community Development Board shall be limited to three minutes unless an individual is representing a group in which case the Chairperson may authorize a reasonable amount of time up to 10 minutes.  The Community Development Board will review the case and make a recommendation to the City Commission for final disposition.

Five days prior to the meeting, staff reports and recommendations on the above requests will be available for review by interested parties between the hours of 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m., weekdays, at the City of Clearwater, Planning and Development Department, 100 S. The Evaluation Committee for RFQ #22-18, Water Supply and Treatment Master Plan Consulting Services, will hold interviews with two (2) responding firms on Friday, June 8, 2018, from 1:30 pm. to 3:30 p.m. at the Municipal Services Building (MSB), Room 130, 100 So Myrtle Ave, Clearwater, Florida.  Beginning at 3:30 p.m., following the closed interviews, the Committee will hold a public meeting to discuss the proposals received, the interviews, and determine a recommendation for award.

NOTICE OF FUNDING AVAILABILITY
STATE HOUSING INITIATIVES PARTNERSHIP (SHIP)PROGRAM FOR FY 2018-2019

The City of Clearwater is expected to receive $156,785 for fiscal year 2018-2019 funding distributed through and operated under the State Housing Initiatives Partnership (SHIP) Program. Eligible strategies are down payment and closing costs assistance for newly constructed homes, down payment and closing cost assistance for existing homes, owner occupied rehabilitation, multi-family housing and other activities included in its Local Housing Assistance Plan. A copy of the Local Housing Assistance Plan is available from the contact person identified below or via the City’s website www.myclearwater.com/housing.

These funds will primarily be used to assist eligible homebuyers in the purchase of homes within the city limits of Clearwater. For current homeowners, rehabilitation assistance may be provided to assist with code deficiencies within their dwellings.

Applications for funded strategies will be made available between July 1, 2018 and June 30th, 2019. Preference will be given to persons with special needs as defined in section 393.063, Florida Statutes.

Assistance is available to households whose maximum income is at or below 120% of Area Median Income (AMI).  Priority will be given to households at 80% or below Area Median Income (AMI).
