A Pay & Display pay station is an automated multi-space parking meter. Time receipts are dispensed to be displayed on the dash of the vehicle for enforcement purposes. Payment options include credit cards, bills, and coins for customer convenience.

How do I use a Pay & Display meter?

Park first, then just Pay, Print, & Display!

What payment method do I use?

Note the hourly rates and maximum time limit posted on each meter. Decide how long you wish to stay and the payment method you will use:

Credit Card (Visa, MasterCard, American Express)

  1. Insert card and remove quickly.
  2. Select a value button to add time in hourly increments or select the “Max” button (2 or 5 Hour depending on lot) and the meter will calculate the time but will not exceed the posted daily maximum time limit for that lot.
  3. Once you reach the desired time, press the green button to print your receipt.
  4. Take your receipt and display it face-up on the dashboard of your car. Keep the tear-off stub for your records.
  5. No activity for 60 seconds and/or pressing the cancel button prior to printing your receipt will cancel the transaction and your credit card will not be charged.

Coins (Dollar Coin, Quarter, Dime, Nickel)
Bills ($10, $5, $1)

($10 bills not accepted in all meters.)

 

 

  1. Insert coins/bills until you reach the desired time. The meter will only accept payment up to the posted maximum time limit for that lot.
  2. Once you reach the desired time, press the green button to print your receipt.
  3. Take your receipt and display it face-up on the dashboard of your car. Keep the tear-off stub for your records.

Bills

  • Bills will not be returned! If no activity for 60 seconds, a receipt will be issued for the amount of time displayed on the meter.
  • Pressing the cancel button will result in a “refund receipt”. Follow instructions printed on this receipt to receive your refund.

Coins

  • No activity for 60 seconds and/or pressing the cancel button prior to printing your receipt will cancel the transaction and your coins will be returned.

Where are the pay stations located?

Pay Stations are located in the following lots: (see Downtown & Beach Parking Maps)

• Beach: All Beach Parking Lots with the exception of the Marina Lot #30
• Downtown: Station Square Parking Garage Lot #18

What if a Pay Station is not working?

Time may be purchased at any of the other pay stations within the lot.

How will Parking Enforcement know I paid the meter?

You must display the valid receipt that was dispensed from the Pay Station face-up on the dashboard of your vehicle.
Check your vehicle to make sure the date/time is visible.

 

Is the receipt valid in more than one lot?

Receipts are only valid in the lot purchased. Each Pay Station is labeled with specific information.

Do I have to pay if I’m riding a motorcycle?

You must display the valid receipt that was dispensed from the Pay Station face-up on the dashboard of your vehicle.
Check your vehicle to make sure the date/time is visible.

Receipts are only valid in the lot purchased. Each pay station is labeled.

Do I have to pay if I’m riding a motorcycle?

Motorcyclists must pay and display a valid receipt on their motorcycle. To help avoid theft of the receipt, the license tag # should be written on the receipt. In addition, the stub of the receipt should be torn off and kept with the driver.

What are the meter rates and enforcement times in these lots?

Rates and enforcement times vary in different lots. The rates and enforcement hours are clearly stated on each meter.

Can I use my Park & Go Card at the Pay Stations?

The Park & Go Card is not accepted at the Pay Stations, however, Visa, Master Card & American Express cards are accepted in addition to coins & bills.
