Clearwater 101 is an interactive program that focuses on educating citizens about the city's governmental processes. Elected officials, department directors and other city staff will host unique and informative sessions designed to give citizens hands-on experience in city government operations. Join other citizens who help keep our community strong by actively participating in civic affairs.
When We Meet
The 18th class of the annual Citizens Academy program will begin Sept. 10, 2019. The 10-session curriculum that follows will take place on Tuesday evenings from 6 to 8:30 p.m. through graduation in November. Participants must attend eight of ten sessions in order to graduate from the program.

The first Clearwater 101 Citizens Leadership Academy began with a picnic held at Moccasin Lake Environmental Education Center on Sept.14, 2002. Recognizing that residents are the city's most important assets, officials designed the program to help residents become more actively involved in local government.
