Pavilions located at various parks and facilities provide the perfect setting for a birthday party, baby shower or company picnic. 

A Pavilion / Park Usage Permit is required if one or more of the following applies to your event:

  • Exclusive or reserved use of the pavilion
  • Use of the park restrooms, if available
  • Amplified sound
  • Income-generating

Examples of events that require a pavilion/park usage permit are a birthday party, family gathering, reunion or memorial.

The Park/Pavilion Usage Permit Fees are non-refundable.

Permits must be requested within the time frame listed for the selected facility. Please refer to the specific facility for more information.


City of Clearwater parks are open to the public. Restriction of public access may only occur with a formal permit.  If there is a non-emergency situation such as the refusal of unauthorized persons to leave the permitted space, contact the Clearwater Police Department's non-emergency line at (727) 562-4242. In the event of an emergency, call 911.  Email the Special Events Division at specialevents@Myclearwater.com to report any facility issues.

Step 1.Choose Your Park or Pavilion

Pavilion rentals are available in four-hour time blocks: 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. or 2 to 6 p.m. Fees are per time block. The time block should include set-up and breakdown time. Holidays, special events, and holiday weekends may limit availability of certain pavilions.

Pavilion rentals do not provide you with exclusive use of the park or its amenities, require advance notice and includes restrooms where available. Grills, electricity and water may be available at certain locations. Inflatables are not permitted at any park/pavilion.

To receive the resident rate, please email specialevents@myclearwater.com prior to submission. Proof of Clearwater residency will need to be provided and verified by city staff.

Step 2.Get an estimated number of attendees

You must provide an estimated number of attendees. Ranges of numbers are not accepted. Please refer to the table below for the capacity of each pavilion.

Step 3.Choose your date and time slot

After you have scrolled through the options and chosen your venue, use the filter feature on the left side of the page to click on the date of your event and highlight the time slot(s) by clicking on them.

Please note:

  • The date must adhere to the minimum and maximum number of days required. 
  • Only one permit is permitted per day per pavilion. If you see a pavilion with a time slot reserved for the day you have chosen, then that means it has been reserved already and is unavailable.

If you accidentally click on a time slot or would like to change the time slot, click on it again to deselect it.

Click "Add to Cart" when you are finished adding the slots to your cart.

Step 4.Sign In or Create an Account

Select the Sign In/Register button located in the top right part of the page. If you have signed up for a city program like swim lessons before, you may already have an account. Sign in with your existing username and password and click "Login".

If you do not have an account, create one by clicking "Don't have an account? Sign Up Now" located above the login button.

Step 5.Enter your event information

Answer all questions fully and accurately. This includes the questions mentioned previously, such as estimated attendance, event type, etc.

Step 6.Verify that your information is correct

Review the information and verify that what you entered is correct. Click "Continue" on the page when finished.

Step 7.Checkout

Depending on the pavilion selected fees may be paid at this time to finalize your permit request. Del Oro Park Pavilion, Woodgate Pavilion, and Marymont Pavilion are available for rental by the customer through our online system.

The following locations will require additional staff review and approval.

  1. Crest Lake Park
  2. Coachman Park
  3. Pier 60 Pavilion
  4. Cherry Harris Park

Payment for any requests for these specific locations will be required after the acceptance of the permit. There are no fees due during the application process. You will still need to enter your billing information, as this is a standard in the program.

Step 8.If your permit is accepted...

If additional staff review and approval is required, a permit will be issued once verification of availability is completed, and fees are paid. All fees should be paid within five (5) days of staff verification.

Step 9.On the day of your rental, keep the following rules in mind:

  • Leave facilities in the same condition as before use.
  • Dispose of any trash and decorations.
  • Follow the list of prohibited items.
  • Get written approval from the Parks & Recreation Department if a commercial group uses city property to promote their products, business, etc.
  • Get written consent from the Parks & Recreation Department for amplified sound or for hosting an organized event.
