Beach Cabanas and Umbrellas
Need shade while visiting Clearwater Beach? Beach chairs, umbrellas, and shade structures are allowed. If you don't have your own, the city of Clearwater partners with a vendor that provides cabana and umbrella rentals at Clearwater Beach.
Where To Go To Rent Cabanas and Umbrellas
Beach chair and cabana rentals can be found in the swimming areas at Clearwater Beach between the jetty and slightly north of Pier 60. Head to the Barefoot Beach House at 332 S. Gulfview Blvd. and Pier 60 at 1 Causeway Blvd. to reserve your beach rentals. Hours of operation are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily, weather permitting.
Cabana and Umbrella Costs Per Day
These are the costs to rent a cabana, umbrella or luxury bed at Clearwater Beach from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. This is typically the peak hours for beach visitors.
- $40 plus tax, Beach Umbrella with Two Chairs
- $50 plus tax, Deluxe Cabana with Two Chairs
- $80 plus tax, Luxury Bed with Deluxe Cabana
- $15 plus tax, Additional Chair
From 3 to 5 p.m., the costs to rent a cabana, umbrella or luxury bed at Clearwater Beach decrease to accommodate the early-evening crowd which tends to be less busy.

- $30 plus tax, Deluxe Cabana with Two Chairs
- $40 plus tax, Luxury Bed with Deluxe Cabana

First Come, First Served
Reservations are not accepted in advance, and cabanas and umbrellas are first come, first served. When you arrive at the beach, choose the perfect cabana or umbrella for you. Have a seat and relax, and a beach attendant will be with you shortly to take your payment. Arrive as early as you wish to reserve one, as beach cabanas and umbrellas can reach capacity during peak times. Rentals cannot be held while you are parking or before your arrival to Clearwater Beach.
Rental Policies
- Florida weather is unpredictable. No refunds or rain checks will be given for Clearwater Beach rentals if weather conditions change during the rental period.
- Cabanas and umbrellas once rented are non-transferable.
- Beach cabanas and umbrellas close down every day at 5 p.m. If lightning or severe weather strikes, the rentals can close early due to safety reasons.
Who Operates Beach Cabana and Umbrella Rentals
The city partners with Fields, Inc. of Clearwater, Florida to operate and maintain the Barefoot Beach House, Pier 60 Concessions, and beach cabana and umbrella rentals. The city and vendor are not responsible for lost or stolen items, and customer service issues are handled by the operator. Call (727) 461-7732 with questions or concerns.
Some rentals are owned by hotels or businesses on Clearwater Beach and operate separately.
