National Library Week 2025
The city of Clearwater is excited to join readers across the nation in celebrating National Library Week from Apr. 6-12, 2025. This year’s theme, "Drawn to the Library!", highlights the ways libraries spark creativity and build connections across generations.
Libraries have always been spaces of learning, growth, and community. Whether it's young families enjoying playtime and storytime, students diving into creative projects in makerspaces, or seniors seeking help with technology, libraries have something for everyone. Clearwater’s libraries are places where people can connect the dots between various parts of their life journey, helping each person grow and explore.
During National Library Week, Clearwater invites you to chart your next literary adventure by browsing the bookshelves, joining a book club, or attending an author talk. Whether you’re interested in outlining your big business idea in an entrepreneur workshop or tracing your family history through library genealogy resources, Clearwater’s libraries offer endless possibilities. Make your mark by volunteering or spreading the word about the power of libraries.
Celebration Days During National Library Week:
The Honorary Chairs for National Library Week 2025 are award-winning author and illustrator Raina Telgemeier, and Scott McCloud, a renowned cartoonist and comic theorist. Both of their works have inspired readers of all ages and perfectly align with the theme of creativity and discovery.
National Library Week, which has been celebrated annually since 1958, showcases the power of libraries, librarians, and library workers. This week is a reminder of how libraries strengthen communities and improves lives, making them a valuable resource in society.
