Downtown Community Redevelopment Area The city of Clearwater initially established a Community Redevelopment Agency for Downtown Clearwater area in 1981. At the original inception, the Community Redevelopment Area comprised 247 acres. This area grew and was expanded eastward to include the Downtown Gateway neighborhood which increased the CRA to its current size of 488 acres.
Station 51 This single-story fire station provides coverage to the northwest area of Clearwater's fire district. This facility is equipped with an ALS (Advanced Life Support) engine, squad, dive truck and safety officer.
