MS WRF Chlorine Contact Chamber #18-0060-UT

INVITATION TO BID

 

Notice is hereby given that the City of Clearwater (City) is accepting sealed bids on work proposed in this contract that includes: The City operates two (2) chlorine contact chambers (CCCs) at the Marshall Street Water Reclamation Facility (WRF). The inner CCC needs repair at the weir wall before the dichlorination tank as it may be the source of external seepage during operation. Phase 1 will include crack injections and waterproofing expansion joints along the weir wall. Phase 2 includes lining a portion of the inner CCC with a coating system. A Phase 3 additive alternative is also proposed to waterproof the Outer CCC expansion joint at the weir wall, if Phase 1&2 repairs fail to stop the external seepage.

 

Beginning January 1, 2021, Contractor and its Subcontractors shall register with and use the E-Verify system to verify the work authorization status of all newly hired employees. Contractor will not enter into a contract with any Subcontractor unless each party to the contract registers with and uses the E-Verify system. Subcontractor must provide Contractor with an affidavit stating that Subcontractor does not employ, contract with, or subcontract with an unauthorized alien. Contractor shall maintain a copy of such affidavit. See Section 448.095. Florida Statutes (2020).

The City may terminate Contract for any violation of this Article 6.7. See Article 15.2 and Section 448.095. Florida Statutes (2020)

Pre-Bid meeting date: Wednesday, January 27, 2021 at 1:00 pm (EST)

There will be 10 seats available for in person attendance of the Pre-Bid meeting for MS WRF Chlorine Contact Chamber. One person from each company will be allowed a seat for the first 10 to apply. Pre-qualification submittal deadline: Friday, January 29, 2021

Requests for Information deadline: Wednesday, February 3, 2021

Bid Opening date: Thursday, February 18, 2021 at 2:00pm (EST)

  • Vendor Information sheet: Please submit with your bid proposal.
  • FedEx or Bid drop off:  Bids will be received until Thursday, February 18, 2021 at 2:00 PM (EST)by the City of Clearwater Procurement Division, Attn: Lori Vogel Municipal Services Building, 100 S. Myrtle Ave., Clearwater, FL 33756. Bid opening procedures. Sealed bids shall be returned to the City and shall be properly identified on the envelope with bid number, title, opening date, etc. Bids shall be opened in public (via Zoom) by the Procurement Division at the time and place stated in the notices. A tabulation of all bids received shall be made available to the public. In the event of price extension errors, the unit price will determine the bid amount.
