One of Tampa Bay’s longest-running Thanksgiving traditions is back. The city of Clearwater and Achieva Credit Union will welcome thousands of runners, walkers and families to the 2026 Achieva Clearwater Turkey Trot on Thanksgiving morning, Thursday, Nov. 26 at Clearwater High School.
This year’s event will build on the tradition generations of Tampa Bay families know and love while introducing several enhancements designed to make the entire Turkey Trot experience easier and more enjoyable, from registration through race morning. Participants will have access to a new, streamlined registration platform and more opportunities to pick up race packets at Achieva Credit Union locations throughout Pinellas County, including new weekend options. Every registered participant will also receive a collectible 2026 Turkey Trot medal.
Some initial changes include a more user-friendly registration platform and a revamped Pre-Trot Celebration layout at the BayCare Ballpark to ensure adequate space and shorter lines for those who wish to pick up their packets/t-shirts while enjoying a family-friendly community event.
Participants of all ages and abilities can choose from three signature race options:
- Achieva 5K Timed Run — 7 a.m. start, for competitive runners
- FrankCrum Family Fun 5K — 8 a.m. start
- Abe’s Place 1-Mile Drum Run — 9:15 a.m. Start
The FrankCrum Family Fun 5K and Abe’s Place 1-Mile Drum Run races offer options to bring strollers and well-behaved dogs on leashes, and they offer more of a relaxed, family-friendly experience than the Achieva 5K Timed Run. Beyond the starting line, families can expect a morning packed with live music, a spirited costume contest, and a pre-race party full of games, food and entertainment.
Achieva Pre-Trot Community Celebration
The fun starts Wednesday, Nov. 25, with a pre-race party at BayCare Ballpark, home of the Philadelphia Phillies Spring Training and the Clearwater Threshers. Participants who haven’t already registered or picked up their race packets can do so and enjoy live music, giveaways, street performers, unique Instagram-worthy moments and entertainment for all ages.

Road Closures
On race morning, road closures will be in place along the course, including Keene Road, Hercules Avenue, Nursery Road, Eastfield Drive, Druid Road, Lakeview Road, Arcturas Avenue, Magnolia Drive, Sandra Drive, Sever Drive and Gulf-to-Bay Boulevard. Residents along the course should also anticipate increased pedestrian traffic.
