National Night Out

Mark your calendars for Tuesday, Oct. 7, for National Night Out, a community engagement event organized by the Clearwater Police Department. This year marks a change in location as the popular family-friendly gathering moves to Coachman Park, 300 Cleveland St., on the city’s beautiful downtown waterfront.

The police department and Clearwater Fire & Rescue will have many of their personnel and vehicles on hand. You can climb aboard the police boat, sit inside a fire truck, or watch a police K-9 in action, among other activities.

Representatives of several police department specialty units, including crossing guards, communications center, traffic enforcement team, SWAT, K-9, and multiple detective units will attend. The event runs from 5 to 8 p.m.
