Achieva Clearwater Turkey Trot

One of Tampa Bay’s most anticipated holiday traditions, the 2025 Achieva Clearwater Turkey Trot, will take place on Thanksgiving morning, Thursday, Nov. 27, at Clearwater High School. Participants of all ages and abilities can choose from three signature race options: 

• Achieva 5K Competitive Timed Run — 7 a.m., for more competitive runners
• FrankCrum Family Fun Run 5K — 8 a.m.
• Abe’s Place 1-Mile Drum Run — 9 a.m.

The FrankCrum Family Fun Run and Abe's Place 1-Mile Drum Run events offer options to bring strollers and leashed, well-behaved dogs. They also offer more of a relaxed experience than that of the timed-5K run. Beyond the starting line, families can expect a morning packed with live music, a spirited costume contest, and a pre-race party full of games, food and entertainment.

Achieva Pre-Trot Community Celebration

Nov. 26, 5 to 8 p.m., BayCare Ballpark

The fun starts on Wednesday, Nov. 26 with a pre-race party at BayCare Ballpark. This event, open to the entire community, will feature live music, food and drinks, games, crafts, and kid-friendly fun, bringing everyone together to launch one of Tampa Bay’s most treasured Thanksgiving traditions. This will also be the only designated location for runners to pick up their pre-race packets.

The celebration will also carry a deeper purpose. Attendees are invited to bring a new pair of socks for donation to the Homeless Empowerment Program (HEP) of Clearwater, providing comfort and care to those in need. Every day, HEP provides people, including families in crisis and local veterans, with safe housing, hot meals, clean clothing, and the critical resources they need to take steps toward lasting stability. To strengthen that mission, Achieva Credit Union is matching all community donations, doubling the impact for neighbors who need it most. BayCare Ballpark is located at 601 N. Old Coachman Road in Clearwater.

Road Closures 

On race morning, road closures will be in place along the course, including Keene Road, Hercules Avenue, Nursery Road, Eastfield Drive, Druid Road, Lakeview Road, Arcturas Avenue, Magnolia Drive, Sandra Drive, Sever Drive and Gulf-to-Bay Boulevard. Residents along the course should also anticipate increased pedestrian traffic.
