City of Clearwater offices, libraries and recreation facilities will be closed Thursday, Dec. 25, for Christmas.Thursday's solid waste and recycling collections will be made on Wednesday, Dec. 24, for both residential service and commercial garbage service. Residents with Friday pickups will be business as usual. Thursday’s commercial cardboard collection will be picked up Friday, Dec. 26.
All departments have now moved back into the renovated Municipal Services Building, including bill-pay services and the customer-service drive-thru. The only department in a different location at this time is Human Resources, which will move into the new city hall in 2026.

The City of Clearwater seeks proposals from qualified firms to perform debris removal and disposal services in the event of a major disaster event. The selected Contractor shall provide required services in accordance with applicable regulations, including but not limited to: the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), Federal Highway Administration (FWHA), Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT), Florida Department of Health (FDH), Natural Resources Conservation Services (NRCS), Southwest Florida Water Management District (SWFWMD), and the Florida Department of Environmental Protection (FDEP).
It is recommended that responses are submitted electronically through our bid’s website.
NOTE: Once solicitation documents have been submitted, in order to retract the documents, an email from your company must be sent to the address listed under that solicitation on the City’s website. Retractions can only be made on open solicitations.
