Clearwater Gardens Nears Completion

A new affordable housing project in Clearwater is nearing completion. Clearwater Gardens, located at 1250 Cleveland Street, is a 4-story building with 81 one and two-bedroom units.

“One of the top priorities here in Clearwater, is to support the development of inclusive housing,” said Dylan Mayeux with the City of Clearwater’s  Department of Housing and Economic Development.

The city of Clearwater is proud to announce a major milestone in its commitment to housing affordability through the successful closing of a transformative agreement with Sunrise Affordable Housing Group. Under this agreement, the 208-unit Indigo Apartments will be preserved and converted into 100% affordable housing, benefiting households earning 30%, 60%, and 80% of the Area Median Income (AMI).

"This is a major win for Clearwater families," said Mayor Bruce Rector. "By partnering with Sunrise, we’re not only preserving existing housing, we’re securing long-term affordability and stability in one of our city's most critical and underserved areas of need."
