City of Clearwater offices, libraries and recreation facilities will be closed Thursday, Jan. 1, for New Year's Day.Thursday's solid waste and recycling collections will be made Wednesday, Dec. 31, for residential service and commercial collections. Residents with Friday pickups will be business as usual. Thursday’s commercial cardboard collections will be picked up Friday, Jan. 2.
All departments have now moved back into the renovated Municipal Services Building, including bill-pay services and the customer-service drive-thru. The only department in a different location at this time is Human Resources, which will move into the new city hall in 2026.
