HOW TO SUBMIT AN ONLINE TREE REMOVAL PERMIT APPLICATION

To apply for a tree removal permit online, please follow these steps:

To submit an online tree removal permit application your tree service must first be registered with the City of Clearwater (BTR or REG), and you must have already registered for online permitting. Visit: https://aca-prod.accela.com/CLEARWATER and login to your account.

Start a New Application.
- Open the "New" dropdown menu.
- Click "Planning Case Application".

Accept Disclaimer
- Read and accept the General Disclaimer.
- Click "Continue Application".

Select Your License
- Choose your license from the drop-down box menu.
- Click the "Continue Application".

Select Permit Type
- Choose "Planning - Tree Permit".
- Click "Continue Application".

Verify license information
- Review your license information and update it if needed.
- Click "Continue Application".

Enter Work Site Address
- Enter the street number and street name of the work site.
- Click "Search".
- Select the correct address from the results (if more than one appears).
The system will automatically fill in the parcel and owner information.

Confirm Property Owner Information
- Review the listed owner information and select “Yes” or “No” to confirm if it is correct.
- Enter the property owner's phone number and email address.
- Click "Continue Application".

Project Information
- Enter a project name (for example: client name, property address, or a brief job description).
- Confirm that you have authorization from the property owner to apply on their behalf.
- Select the property type: Single Family/Duplex or Multi-Family/Commercial/Non-Residential.

Provide Tree Details
- Enter the reason for removing the tree(s), the species, and the number of trees.
- You may upload supporting documents, such as inventories, arborist reports, maps, photos, or engineering reports showing damage.
Note: Adding photos will not speed up the review process.  All trees are inspected.

Review Your Application
- Click "Continue Application" to review your details.
- Check that all information is correct.  You can make edits on this screen if needed.

Review Permit Fees
- Your permit fee will be automatically calculated based on the information in your application. (Fees are the same for both online and in-person applications.)
- Review the fee, then click "Continue Application".

Payment and Application Submission
- Paymentmust be made by credit card. Please fill out all required credit card fields.
- Adding your email address allows us to send you updates and a copy of your approved permit.
- Click "Submit Payment" to finish your application.
