North Greenwood Recreation Center Solar Celebration

Clearwater residents are invited to celebrate the city’s latest leap toward clean energy at a Solar Celebration on Saturday, June 27, 1:30 to 3 p.m. at North Greenwood Recreation Center, 900 N Martin Luther King Jr Ave.  

This free, family-friendly event celebrates the installation of a 246 kW DC solar system, featuring 600 solar panels that will help power the facility while reducing environmental impact. 

Come learn how this project supports a cleaner, more sustainable future and contributes to the city’s growing portfolio of renewable energy investments.  

This installation is among the city-owned solar systems that became operational in 2025. Together, the projects support Clearwater's efforts to reduce energy costs, improve operational efficiency and expand the use of clean energy at city facilities.
